2 and 1/2 years old / 2.5 anos de idade

Olá a todos!

Ha um tempo nao venho por aqui. Estah ficando cada vez mais dificil manter esse blog atualizado, pois a vida anda muito agitada. Então, vamos lá com uma pequena atualização desde a minha última visita aqui.


Desde a minha última atualização, meus principais marcos desenvolvimento continuam sendo na minha língua. Agora eu posso usar advérbios muito bem, como "muito", "realmente" etc. Então eu digo coisas como "Isso é muito quente", " isto eh muito legal" . E continuo a criar desculpas esfarrapadas para tudo, particularmente dormir.


Eu continuo a amar meus trens e carros caminhões de anúncios, mas agora minhas novas paixões são dinossauros e animais do oceano, especialmente tubarões. E adoro brincar de "faz de conta". Vivo no mundo da imaginacao. Pego qqr objeto, e embarco no mudo das fantasias. Ora falo do espaco, ora do dinossauro. E por aih vai...


Estes ultimos doiss meses do ano de 2014 foram bem agitados. Primeiro, recebemos a visita de vovo Lucia, que veio para a formatura de painho, e depois tivemos tia "Favlinha" morando conosco por alguns dias.

Vovo Lucia chegou em 14 de novembro, e tivemos um ótimo tempo juntos. Ela até chegou a tomar conta de mim uma noite para mainha e painho irem no seu primeiro date (jantar romantico). Nós fomos fazer compras, brincamos no parque, brincamos de carrinho em em casa, lemos livros, etc. A melhor parte da visita do Vovo Lucia foi certamente brincando na neve. Sim, tivemos muita neve em novembro. Vovo Lucia estava congelando, mas enfrentou o frio paraencarar uma pequena Aventura congelante comigo.

Em dezembro, eu ajudei mainha a montar a árvore de Natal, enquanto cantávamos canções de Natal. Eu adorei dancar com painho e mainha nesse dia. Tb adorei o meu presepio de brinquedo.


Eu também fui patinar pela primeira vez em dezembro. Meus amigos, Alex e Emma, me ajudaram a patina. Ah! Meus patins? Eles são do tipo Bob-skate, que se encaixam na minha bota de inverno. Nossa Aventura congelante foi no dia 21 de dezembro, dia em que completei 2 anos e meio. . Também ficamos a ver a decoração de Natal no Victoria Park. Foi uma tarde cheia de diversão.


Na véspera de Natal, fomos para a Igreja, e, em seguida, ceiamos em casa com Tia Favlinha. No dia seguinte, dia de Natal, eu abri meus presentes, e notei que o Papai tinha comido o biscoito e bebido o leite q eu deixei para ele, e deixou meu livro sobre a nave espacial. Tb ganehri um monte de presents de papai, mainha, tia Flavinha e tia Sarah. Meu pai me deu um novo dinossauro - um triceratops e eu também tenho um caminhão de bombeiros. Minha mãe me deu dinossauros do bebê (eu os amava) e uma garagem / lava-jato. Minha tia jogo Flavinha me um livro caminhão. De minha tia Sarah, Alex e Emma, eu tenho um Marvel Lego - série Batman e Coringa.


Tia Fabi, Lia e Lucas vieram passer um fim-de-semana aqui e nos divertimos a beca! Fomos ao museu da crianca, ao Mercado, montamos uma casinha de biscoito e doces, brincamos nor parquet assistimos um monte de filminhos.


Véspera de Ano Novo fomos a casa de tia Marcia, tio Raul e Caio. Foi muito divertido! Adoro brincar com Caio.

Hello everyone!

It has been a while again. I guess I am getting too busy to keep up with this blog here. So here we go with a little update since my last visit here.

Since my last update, my major milestones continue to be in my language. I can now use adverbs quite well, such as "very", "really" etc. So I say things like " This is really hot", This is very much". I continue to create excuses for everything, particularly sleep.

I continue to love my trains and trucks ad cars, but now my new passions are dinasours and ocean animals, particularly sharks.

We had a great, busy two months in November and December 2014. We had my Grandma (Vovo) Lucia visiting us from Brazil and my aunt "Favlinha", who stayed with us during her very last days in Canada.

My vovo Lucia arrived on November 14, and we had a really great time together. She even got to babybsit me a couple of times. :-) (I had a quic little post here about it). We went shopping, played at the park, played cars at home, read books, etc. She also looked after me while mom and dad went on their very first date since I was born. :-) The best part of Vovo Lucia's visit was certainly playing in the snow. Yes, we had lots of snow in November. Vovo Lucia was freezing, but braved out in a little adventure with me to make some good, lasting memories (gotta love gradmas!).

In December, I helped mommy put the Christmas tree up, while we sang Christmas Carols. I loved dancing with mom and dad that day. I also got to play quite a bit with my Nativity scene from little people. :-)

I also went skating for the first time ever in December. My friend, Alex and Emma, helped me skate. I could not stand on my skates that day. Ah! My skates? They are the bob skate-type ones. my skating adventure happened on December 21, the day I turned 21 months. We also stayed to see the Christmas dEcoration at Victoria Park. It was a great fun-filled afternoon.

On Christmas Eve, we went to the Church, and then had  nice dinner at home with Tia Favlinha. The next day, Christmas day, I got my presents, and noticed that Santa ate the cookie and drank the milk I left for him, and left my spaceship book. I also got other presents from daddy, mommy, aunt Flavinha and my aunt Sarah. My daddy gave me a new dinosaur – a triceratops and I also got a fire truck. My mommy gave me baby dinosaurs (I loved them) and a car garage/wash. I almost forgot to say, I also got a shark from my daddy. My aunt Flavinha game me a truck book. From my aunt Sarah, Alex and Emma, I got a Marvel Lego - Batman and Joker series, that I got when we went for dinner in their place on Christmas day.

Aunt Fabi, Lia and Lucas came up for a visit on boxing day. I could not have had more fun with them! We went to Children's museum and market, made a gingerbread house, played with my daddy at the park and also watched a few movies together.

New Year's Eve we went to Aunt Marcia and Raul's house. It was great fun, as I love playing with Caio. I went to bed at 1 am!!!!!

Chistmas Concert

Last Wednesday, Dec 10, i had my very first Christmas Concert, organized by my school. Well, I didnt want to do anything with it. There were two parts: the first was

Cristmas sings and dance and the second, a nativity scene, in which i was an amgel. I only participated a few seconds in the second half, bc i thought i would fly in the sky. Otherwise, i hid behind curtains. Haha

Vovo lucia came for a visit and join us for daddy's graduation. On nov 18, We drove back to my hometown, kingston, where mainha, papai, tia flavinha, vovo lucia and myself met aunt lynne and sasa susan to celebrate such a big accompliment in my daddy's life.

I really got into Halloween spirit this year. I was happy to get dressed up and go trick or treating. I did insist, though, to wear my monkey hat along with my vintage clown costume. :-) Ah, I also managed to carry my bucket full of sweets and chocolate all by myself. When I got home, the bucket suddenly emptied out... hum... I wonder what happened.

 

 

 

 

2 years and four months

Last stretch of decent weather - exploring London - Oct 21/2014

I have disappeared from here. Sorry! We have been so busy since the beginning of the summer that we have neglected my blog. Since my last visit here, we moved to London, Ontario, I got my adenoids and tonsils removed, and I have started at the London Montessori Nursery School.

So here we go. In chronological order, I will start with my surgery. On August 21, I have a tonsilectomy & adenoidectomy. I did very well overall. I was a bit groggy when I came out of the anesthetic, and at home with the morphine for the first few days, but all in all it went well. I stayed one night in the hospital, cuddling with mom and dad. I was still nursing then, and that helped soothe me. Speaking of nursing, mom gently and slowly terminated our nursing relationship. I was not ready for it, and neither was her, but she was tired of how obsessed I had become over the last little while, and decided to gradually wean me off. I haven't nursed for about 6 weeks now. Initially, I kept on asking for mommy, but I gradually understood I could settle in another way.

Since my surgery, I have gained about 5 lbs (2 kg) and have grew quite a bit, as I am both sleeping and eating a whole lot better. At first, mom and dad were not sure if they had done the right thing, but now we have no doubt. Not only I sleep and eat better, bt my mood is also so much better.

The other really important event is that we have relocated to London, Ontario, on Sep  26. Mom and Dad got a job in London a few months ago, and Mom now works at the Roth MacFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre at St. Joseph's Hospital, and Dad at the London Health Sciences Centre at Victoria Hospital.

Since then, my life also changed quite a bit. I now attend nursery school. Yes,I go to London Montessori School. I am really enjoying it! We are living in a rental townhouse, so I no longer have our beautiful backyard, which is not all that good. I really miss my backyard, but we are trying to compensate it by going more to parks around here, and have gone a few times to the community centre/ymca around the corner from us.

Throughtout all the craziness that the months of Aug, Sep and Oct were, we still managed to have some fun. While it was still warm, we went to the beach. In the September, we went apple picking. Since moving to London, We have had a lot of people help us settle in. Aunt Lynne came over at the very beginning and helped us unpacking (thank you, lynne!),  Sasa Susan, with who we did some exploring of our new city, and Aunt Sarah and her family, who welcomed us in the house at the very beginning and helped us clean our new home. I just loooove her kids, Alex and Emma.

Now, Aunt Flavia has arrived, and it was so nice seeing her again. She really knows how to play with little ones like me. :-) Love it! I have also met some old new friends: aunt Marcia, uncle Raul and Caio, with who we had thanksgiving dinner and I loved playing with Caio; Uncle Cesar, Aunt Amy and their kids, Laura, Lucy and Adam, who are so much fun; and Uncle Daubian, Aunt Jennifer and Selminha, who is now too young for me to play with. :-)

Now onto my skills:

In the motor coordination front, I have been climbing stairs without needing to hold on to railings, jumping, and kicking balls, while running. I can also pedal a little bit my tricycle, but still needs help.

The most development has been in my language skills. I am fluent in both languages, although speak more English than Portuguese. I say things like: actually, because, and use expressions, such as aw!, oh no!, oh yeah!, etc very weel and appropriately. Mom, dad and my school teacher tell me I am very articulated for a little by my age. :) For instance, the other day, early in the morning while mom was making breakfast and dad was trying to sleep in, I kept on insisting to come up and wake dad up, and mom kept on explaining he was too tired from having worked late the night before, and needed to sleep a little longer. I then went to say: actually, mom, I need to go up an be quiet with papai, because I am tired too. And every now and then, I come with these long, elaborate sentences...

As I communicate, my tantrums get better too. But I will still have a few meltdowns every now and then, particularly when I am tired. I transitioned very well through the chaos that moving was, and now London and our new house feels like home to all three of us. Please, come visit us!

Ola pessoal,

Nos desaparecemos daqui. Desculpem-nos! Temos estado tão ocupados desde o início do verão que temos negligenciado o meu blog. Desde a minha última visita aqui,  muitas coisas aconteceram. Nos mudamos para London, Ontário, eu tive uma pequena cirurgia para retirada das adenoides e amigdalas, e agora estou indo para a escolinha, a London Montessori School.


Então, vamos lá. Em ordem cronológica, vou começar com a minha cirurgia. No dia 21 de agosto, eu fui submetido a uma tonsilectomia e adenoidectomia. Minha recuperacao foi otima. Fiquei um pouco grogue apos o anestesico, e em casa com a morfina para os primeiros dias, mas tudo ocorreu bem, sem maiores contratempos. Eu fiquei uma noite no hospital, no aconchego de mainha e painho. Eu ainda estava amamentando, o que ajudou muito a me acalmar. Falando em amamentacao, mainha cuidadosa e lentamente terminou a nossa relação de amamentacao. Eu não estava pronto para isso, e nem ela, mas ela estava cansada de como obcecado eu estava com o "peito" ao longo do últimos meses, e decidiu afastar gradualmente. Ha cerca de 6 semanas, nao amamento mais. Inicialmente, eu continuei pedindo, mas gradualmente fui entendendo que eu poderia me acalentar de outras maneiras, e mainha poderia me dar carinho de outras formas.


Desde a minha cirurgia, eu ganhei cerca de £ 5 (2 kg) e já cresci um bocadinho, pois tenhos comido e dormido muito mlehor. No início, mainho e painho não tinham certeza se tinham feito a coisa certa qdo decidiram pela cirurgia, mas agora eles não temos dúvida. Não só eu durmo e como melhor, mas meu humor também melhorou muito.


O outro evento realmente importante foi a nossa mudaram para London, Ontário, no dia setembro 26. Mainha e painho conseguiram trabalhos aqui. Mainha agora trabalha no Roth MacFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre no Hospital St. Joseph , e painho, no London Health Sciences Centre no Victoria Hospital.


Desde então, minha vida também mudou um pouco. Eu agora frequent uma escolinha. Sim, eu vou para Londres Montessori School. Estou gostando muito! Estamos morando em uma casa de aluguel, portanto, eu não tenho mais o nosso belo quintal, o que me faz muita falta. Mas estamos a tentar compensar indo mais para os parques por aqui e ao centro comunitário / YMCA pertinho da nossa nova casa.
Mesmo dentro do caos que eh uma mudanca, nós ainda conseguimos nos divertir um pouco. ter . Enquanto ainda estava quente, fomos a praia. Em setembro, fomos acolheita da maçã. Desde que nos mudamos, jah tivemos alguma visita e ajuda. Tia Lynne veio logo no início e nos ajudou a arrumar a casa. Sasa Susan, com quem exploramos um pouco nossa nova cidade; tia Sarah e sua família, que nos recebeu na sua casa logo no início e nos ajudou a limpar a nossa nova casa. Eu amo os filhos dela, Alex e Emma.


Agora, tia Flavinha chegou, e foi maravilhoso reencontra-la. Ela realmente sabe brincar com os pequeninos como eu. :-) Adoro! Eu também conheci alguns velhos novos amigos: tia Marcia, tio Raul e Caio, com quem tivemos comensal e eu adorava brincar com Caio; Tio Cesar, tia Amy e seus filhos, Laura, Lucy e Adam, que são muito divertido; eo tio Daubian, tia Jennifer e Selminha, que ainda eh muito bebe para brincar comigo. :-)


Agora as minhas novas  habilidades:


Na parte da coordenação motora, eu consigo subir escadas sem a necessidade de segurar nos corrimaos, pular e chutar bolas equanto corro. Eu também consigo pedalar um pouco meu triciclo, mas ainda preciso de ajuda.

Meu maior avanco foi na linguagem. Sou fluente em ambas as línguas, apesar de falar mais Inglês do que Português. Eu digo coisas como: na verdade, porque, e uso expressões, como aw !, oh !, oh não, sim !. Mainha, painho e minha professor ficam impressinados como estou bem articulado.  :) Outro dia, por exemplo, enquanto mainha preparava o café da manhã e painho tentava dormir mais um pouco, eu insitia em subir e acordar painho, e mainha tentando me explicar que ele estava muito cansado de ter trabalhado tarde na noite anterior, e precisava dormir um pouco mais. Eis que eu sai com um: na verdade, mainha, eu preciso subir e ficar quieto com papai, porque eu estou cansado demais. E de vez em quando, eu saiu com uma frases desse tipo, longa e elaborada ...


Como eu me comunico, meus acessos de raiva tipicos dos dois anos estao melhorando. Eles agora sao mais comuns apenas qdo estou cansado. Eu transicionei muito bem através de todo o caos que a mudança foi, e agora que London e nossa casa nova parecem ser mais nossa casa, venham nos visitar!
