First word / Primeira palavra

Parece que a primeira palavra do nosso pompom foi "LEDY". Ele  olhou para Lady umas cinco vezes hj e disse "ledy".  Qdo estavamos na Filadelfia ele pareceu ter chamado mama, mas nunca mais chamou. Vamos ver se Lady permanece...

Today, our little man seems to have said his first word, which was "ledy", while he stared at Lady. He repeated it five times. While we were in Philly, he said mama a couple of times, but it did not last. Let's see if "LEDY" lasts...

First Christmas / Primeiro Natal

Yesterday, we celebrated Christmas. Well, I went to bed on my usual time, 6:30 pm, and my parents had friends over for a Brazilian Pot Luck Xmas. they told me it was a lot of fun. The dressed me up to wait for a few friends that were supposed to arrive early and spend some time with me, but they could not make it (unfortunately). :-(

6 months old / 6 meses

Today I turned 6 months old. As always, my parents sung happy birthday for me. My grandpa, Jonas "was" with us this time. Today, I also met my mom's co-workers, as we went to the Xmas luncheon at Casa Dominica. I loved "chatting" with everyone.

My 6th month of life was a very eventful one. I started to sit, eat solids, roll over with no help, lift my bump up when on my tummy, and say a few syllables (that mean nothing for now).  On Dec 19th, I weighted in 15 lbs 11oz and measured 27.5 in.

I also survived my first pane ride, and actually enjoyed it quite a bit.

Hj completei 6 meses. Como sempre, meus painhos cantaram parabens para mim, e esse mes tivemos a participacao do meu amado vovo Jonas. Hj tb tive um dia bem agitado; fomos ao almoco de trabalho de mainha. Eu amei! Ri bastante para todo mundo, e fui a sensacao do momento.

Meu 6 mes de vida foi cheio de novidades. Comecei a comer comidinhas solidas, sentar sozinho, rolar, levantar meu bumbum qdo fico de barriga para baixo. Ah sim, tb pareco estar falando algumas silabas, mas ainda nao conseguimos associa-las a nada. No dia 19 de dez, eu pesei 7.1 kg e estava com 70 cm.

Prenatal reunion - Christmas Edition

After a lovely weekend in Philadelphia, we had our lovely Christmas party with the other babies.

Philadelphia

Last week was a very eventful one. Mom, dad and I went to Philadelphia. My dad went to a conference, and mom went to a tutorial at the Philadelphia Hand Center.
It was my first time on an airplane! I loved it! It is like a big white noise machine, and it made me sleepy. I also loved watching the airplanes. I demonstrated to be quite the traveler, and kept on smiling at everyone. Every day we went for a little stroll and did some sightseeing. Philadelphia is a beautiful city, and very historical too. My parents tried to explain a bit of its history, but I just wanted to stare at the all the Christmas lights.
Also, while in Philadelphia, I started to sit by myself, do raspberries, and roll over on my tummy by myself. What a great week!!!

Semana passada, mainha, painho e eu fomos a Filadelfia para uma conferencia dele e um tutorial da minha mainha.
Foi a minha primeira viagem de aviao, e eu adorei! Ria para todo mundo, prestava atencao nos avioes, dormi com o barulho do aviao... enfim, me diverti a beca!
Todos os dias eu sai para dar uma voltinha e apreciar a beleza da cidade. Ficamos bem no centro, entao tudo estava bem pertinho. Eu sempre dava um cochilo maior de manha, e depois nos saimos. Foi otimo!
A outra novidade tb eh que lah na Filadelfia comecei a sentar sozinho, fazer besourinho, e rolar de barriga para baixo. Pense numa semana cheia de emocoes e peripecias! Adorei tudo!
