Enjoying life / curting a vida

Hj saimos para dar um voltinha num parque que fica a beira do lago Ontario e depois fomos comer "Fish and Chips" no centro da cidade. Mainha, painho e vovo Lucia comeram pipoca no parque, mas eu preferi meu peitinho amado.    :-)

We went to a park by the water for a little stroll today. Mom, dad and grandma Lucia ate popcorn, but I preferred my own special milk.   :-)   After a relaxing at the park, we went downtown Kingston to eat Fish and Chips at the "Pilot House".

5 weeks / 5 semanas

This week I'm getting busier. I'm starting to emit sounds, gargle, and smile more (still more of a reflex, but it normally happens after I feed and someone is talking to me). I also had a few visitors and had another midwife appt. I weighed in at 10 lbs even! YEs, I'm getting chubby! :-) Mom says that I no longer look like a newborn.
I still have difficulties falling asleep. Well, let me explain this better. I love observing everything around me so that I have a hard time disconnecting and falling asleep during the day. My parents have to literally force me to sleep during the day, otherwise I get really tired, don;t feed well, and get really cranky.
Also, I am still fighting sinuses mucus, and it really gets bad in the middle of the night. As a result, I have been having a very poor latch, which makes me ingest more air than usual. The result: gas and colic. Therefore, I sleep well the first part of the night, but then it becomes really hard to sleep after 1 - 2 am, and hence, I've been really cranky in the mornings. Fingers crossed I'll get better soon...

Hj eu completo um mes de vida. Tenho aproveitado bastante a minha vida. To comecando a me acostumar a dormir fora de casa, e hj fomos celebrar meu primeiro mes de vida com meu amiguinho Caleb e seus papais, tia Joelle e tio Rob, vovo Lucia, e meus painhos num parque pertinho de casa a beira do lago. Fizemos um pequeno picnic. Adorei o meu primeiro mesversario.

I turned a month old today. I am slowly getting used to sleeping out of my house (believe it or not, I do not sleep very well when I'm out and about. in fact, I don;t sleep at all. My parents decided to celbrate my first "monthday" outdoors with my friend, Caleb, his parents, Joelle and Rob, and grandma Lucia. We went to a park close to our house by the water for a little picnic. It was a lot of fun!
