To keep in touch with those who do not live close by... I guess being a baby from an immigrant couple is not an easy task, and mom and dad have already let me know that I have no other option but be a computer/tech nerd. Enjoy!

Atividades na Escola Clara Brenton - Setembro

Ola Familia,

End of Summer Trip - Washington & Virginia Beach

Last weekend, we returned from a much needed week-long vacation. Mom had a conference in Washington DC, from Sep 15-18, and we decided to have a little family vacay after the conference. Mom flew into Washington on Sep 15, whereas dad and I came a little later on the 17th.

Mom gave a talk at the American Society of Hand Therapists 2016 Annual Meeting, and presented a couple of posters. I got to meet some of her hand therapy colleagues, and even had dinner with a bunch of them.

On Sep 18, while mom attended the last few moments of the conference, dad and I went to the Woodley Park Zoo (Smithsonian National Zoo). In the afternoon we took the metro and down we went to see the White House and Capitol Hill. At the end of the day, we chilled in the hotel's pool.

On September 19, we went to the National Air and Space Museum. What a great museum. My parents loved it. I loved it, too, but got a little a tired of seeing too many places and spaceships after a while. At the end of the day, we got a rental car and off to the beach we went.

Oh yeah, the beach! We so looked forward to this vacation, but unfortunately, it poured, day and night while we were there! Oh well, we made the most out of it... went to the indoor pool a lot, to the local aquarium, trampoline park, and played a bit with sand when the ran gave a bit of a break.

On Sep 23, we went back to Washington DC, and got to see the National Museum of Natural History. This is also a great museum. Then we strolled a bit Downtown DC, and headed to Georgetown and had dinner where very American president goes at least once, Martin's Tavern. It was a long, but fun-filled day!

On Sep 24, we headed back home, and due to flight delays, did no get in until 1 am the next day.

Despite of all the rain, it was a great family bonding weekend, full of great memories!

Enjoy the pictures.
