To keep in touch with those who do not live close by... I guess being a baby from an immigrant couple is not an easy task, and mom and dad have already let me know that I have no other option but be a computer/tech nerd. Enjoy!

Cheers to a great New Year!

As 2016 finishes, most people like to reflect a bit, and review their accomplishments and re-think resolutions for the brand new year.

This is the year I started to attend big school. I am really enjoying big school. I have learned a lot of things: writing my own name independently, writing other names with some help, numbers, shapes, and some easy math calculations. I continue to have a very vast and intricate vocabulary for a 4-year-old. Mom and dad say I am a pretty clever little man.

This was also year we did a lot of awesome family things together: we went camping for the first time, took a short family trip to Washington and Virginia, went to movie theatres for the first time.

We did have a few bumps along the way, particularly in the second half of the year. We had a few heath issues, but all of it helped us grow stronger together.

We ended our year with a nice Christmas gathering at our house and a New Year's party at tia Marcia and tio Raul's. We also had friends over for both holidays. For Christmas, Tia Catarina, Tio Gustavo, Gustavinho & tia Fatima vieram nos vistar, andfor New Year's, tio Tiago and his girlfriend, France, came. We had such a great time with our friends.

Cheers to a great new year!

Canadian life

Today i had the curiosity to see what the metal fence tastes like in my school. The only problem was that it was -20 celcius outside. I literally got stuck to the fence and sustained a minor toungue and lip injury.

Vovo Lucia in Canada

The It has been a while since my last post. We had a very busy minth on Nov. mom went to Nyc for a girls' wekemd with her friends, and when she got back, i was very sick with croup cough. That made me stay home from school fir an entire week. Then mom had a few issues herself, and so we mostly stayed sick for the entire month.

On a good note, vovo Lucia arrived on Nov 21 for a brief 2-week visit. Despite not being the greatest time healthwise, I loved her visit. We got to cuddle up together at bedtime and read stories, she picked me up at school a number of times, always mellowed my parents down when i got in trouble, made mebreakfast a few times, played cars, dinausors, lego, etc, all the good things a grandparent does for a grandchild. Growing up away from that sure is tough, but then I get to have this wonderful 24/7 attention for a few days.

Along with her wonderful visit, she brought presents from all my family members in Brasil.  Holy! Did i feel loved? It was like early Christmas.

Thank you, Vovo Lucia, for making our days a little brighter and happier while you were visitting. I miss you terribly, and cant wait till we reconnect again.

***********
