Hi Ho, Hi Ho, off to work I go!

Mom is going back to work tomorrow. I am already going full-time to daycare, and for the first three weeks, she will work three days. She told me she will try her very best to be back home by 5 pm, so we can play a bit, do our bedtime routine, and snuggle a bit before bed. Mom, I will be just fine, and will reserve a big smile and a wet kiss for your return everyday.

Mom, wrote me this:
 My beloved little bean, we have been apart a few times already, as mom has done a bit of work over the last 9 months. By now you are used to being away from mom a few hours, but this time around is a bit different... Tomorrow is the beginning of a new phase for both of us. Today I cherished every moment I have lived with you, my sweet baby, over the last year, and thanked God for having had the opportunity to see you grow so closely. Yes, I do love my job, I would never be a stay-at-home mom, but tonight my heart is asking for just a few more days... Motherhood is literally a bittersweet thing, in which you find yourself desperate at times, but is able to fall in love all over again when your little one smiles. Tonight, motherhood is only sweet for me, my baby, and I will miss waking up, feeding, sleeping, playing with you every day... Life goes on... Mom loves you with all her heart, and promise she will give you lots of love, kisses and snuggles once we get together everyday. Te amo, filhao!

21 junho - One year old!!!!

First year check up and shots / consulta de um ano

I weighted in 18 lbs 13.5 oz and measured 30 inches. Long and thin!

I got three shots, but barely cried! I am a big boy now! 

Hj fui ao medico da familia para uma consulta. Meu peso foi 8.550 kg e 76.2 cm. Magro e comprido! Tomei tres injecoes e quase nao chorei. To ficando um rapazinho!

First Birthday / Primeiro Aniversario

On June 21, I turned a year old. It has been a year full of adventures, discoveries, laughter and love. I have quite the personality, already know how to say what I want, can speak a few words (not consistent still, but certainly more meaningful), can almost walk (have taken a few solo steps), can crawl and climb like a pro. I am also pretty good at shaping sorting, and recently, pointing.

For my first real birthday, mom and dad organized a party in our house on Sat, June 22, 2013. The theme was "The little prince", as mom says I am her little prince. We invited some close friends, and had some fun in the backyard until we got rained out. I loved my party!!! It was certainly a very nice closure for a very good year. It was also very special because my uncle and godfather was here for a visit. I got to play with a few children, burst some bubbles and went in the bouncy castle a couple of times.

No ultimo 21 de junho, eu completei 1 ano. O tempo realmente voa! Esse foi um ano de muita peripecia, aventuras, e descobertas. Todo dia eu pareco aprender algo novo. Jah dei alguns passos sozinhos, estou um professional em engatinhar e escalar qqr coisa que aparece na minha frente, falo algumas palavras, sou otimo em encaixes e agora estou apontando para tudo.

No dia 22 de junho, meus painhos organizaram uma bagunca para mim aqui em casa. Eu adorei minha festinha! Amei ir no castelinho inflavel, estourar bolinhas de sabao e curtir meus amiguinhos. Tb foi muito especial ter meu padrinho aqui comigo.

Espero que gostem das fotos. A festa so nao foi melhor, porque nossa amada familia e amigos nao estavam presentes.
