8 weeks / 8 semanas

I am 8 weeks old today! Wow, time sure flies when we are having fun, doesn't it? I have been cooing and babbling quite a bit recently, especially when I am playing. I have been trying to reach for my mobile, and started to open my hands when they get close to the mobile, and then emit lots of sounds! I really pay attention to everything around me, and have been moving my hands as if I was trying to catch things. I am also starting to understand that my actions generate reactions, and I seem to have different cry for my desires.

I'm also proud to say that we have somewhat of a routine these days. We've had a nighttime routine for a while now, but the daytime one was hard to establish due to my ability to keep on fighting fatigue and tiredness.  I go to bed between 7:30 - 8:30 pm, wake up around 1:30 am, and then up again around 4:30 am, and up at 7:00 am for the day, although I feed and go right back to sleep, as I seem to be sleepy still, and wake full power at around 8:30 am. My nighttime routine only gets screwed up if I am really stuffed up, because I have to use the vaporizer, saline solution and have my nose aspirated (I hate it! try to do all of that, and get changed on top of it, when your are sleepy!!!!).  Despite of all that, I seem to be able to fall asleep with a little more help than usual. During the day, I feed roughly every 2 to 2 1/2 hours, and am normally very sleepy, but keep on fighting my fatigue. I find it really hard to stop paying attention to everything, so my parents "force" me to sleep, and I nap all day long. I seem to be more alert around 8:30 am, when I give  my parents big and beautiful smiles, and mid afternnon, after my mom has really forced me to sleep. I seem to have a bit more energy at these times, when I normally play with mom. Otherwise, I'm sleepy, and a bit upset about it all day long. :-) I'm sure I'll learn how to take longer naps so that I'm not so cranky at the end of the day.

Today, I also had my first set of vaccines. Man, it hurts!!!! I cried sooooooo much! My mom had the idea of putting me on the breast to try and fool me, but I still felt the pain. I weighed 11 lb and 2.5 oz and was 57 cm tall.

Hj eu completei 8 semanas. O tempo realmente voa, nao eh? Eu tenho emitindo bastante sons e estou balbuciando tb, principalmente qdo estou olhando para os meus brinquedinhos. Eu realmente presto bastante atencao aos meus brinquedos. Meus painhos ficam bobos comigo, e babando muito! Eles percebem que eu mexo os meus bracinhos no intuito de pegar meus brinquedinhos, mas eu ainda nao tenho controle nas minhas maos.

Hj tb tive minha primeira consulta no medico para tomar minhas vacinas. Puxa vida como doeu! Mainha tentou me enrolar me colocando no peito, mas mesmo assim eu chorei bastante. Hj estou com 5.060 kg e 57 cm. Eu amo meu peitinho!

Ha uma semana, mainha tem me colocado de brucos sem o rolinho, mas as vezes ela dah uma ajudinha, sabe? Ainda nao aguento ficar muito tempo segurando minha cabeca.
